Words land as you speak, then tidy up
Your words go straight into the text box while you talk. Pause, and they're polished in place: punctuation, capitals, and the ums taken out. Change your mind mid-sentence and it keeps the change.
Voicebar is a voice-first keyboard for Android: a slim bar right under your thumb. Tap Voice, say it the way you'd say it, and a tidy message lands in the box.
Your wallpaper, your colors
Nobody talks in finished sentences. Voicebar hears the ums, the restarts and the pauses to think, and types what you meant.

A pause isn't the end of a sentence. Voicebar tidies what you've said so far without adding a period or a capital, and carries on when you do.
Got a word wrong, or edited it by hand? Hold Voice and say what's wrong: "broad should be lowercase." Those words are instructions, never typed, and the whole message is fixed in place.
Tap the pill when you're done. Swipe it right to finish and send, or left to throw it away. Before anything is sent, it gets one last read for what pauses leave behind, like a stray "okay" at the end.
"Title case… end title case." "Quote… end quote." "Open paren… close paren." The pill shows a badge while it's on.
End a dictation with voice bar and a command. The command is never typed; the pill turns purple and shows it instead. Loose wording works.
ABC pops up a full keyboard over the bar, with the bottom row where your thumbs already are. Pull the handle down to put it away.
Drag to move the real cursor. Hold still, then drag to select. Select all, cut, copy and paste sit right above it.
Beside ☰, Cursor, ABC and Voice, three keys are yours (one on the floating pill): Space, Backspace, Enter, Paste, Undo, Select all, Last dictation, Fix last dictation, or a switch between docked and floating.
Choose the floating style and the bar becomes a small pill: ☰, Cursor, ABC, Voice and one key you choose. From ☰ it shrinks to just the record button.

Each part is a choice you make once in setup. Defaults work if you never open Settings again.
Tap Voice, or set it to listen as soon as a text box opens. With a keyboard attached, it listens only when the phone is in your hand.
Live words from ElevenLabs Scribe, or NVIDIA's Parakeet running on the phone with no network at all.
Scribe v2 RealtimeParakeet, on the phone
At each pause, a fast, cheap model polishes what you said, fitted to the text around the cursor and, if you allow it, the names on screen.
Claude HaikuGPT-6 LunaOptional
Right where your cursor is, fitted to the sentence around it. Swipe to send it with the app's own Send button.
An hour of talking to Scribe costs about $0.39, and a cleanup a tiny fraction of a cent. Voicebar shows you the estimate, counted on the phone.
There's no Voicebar server and no account. Audio goes only to the speech service you chose, or nowhere at all.
Your ElevenLabs and Claude or OpenAI keys are encrypted with an Android Keystore key and kept out of backups.
Parakeet turns speech into text on the phone. Swipe typing and the "voice bar" wake word never leave it either.
Optional filters on the phone silence other people, the TV and small children's voices before anything is sent. Your voiceprint never leaves the phone.
Listening never starts by itself in a password field, and what's in one is never read for context.
A setup guide walks through each step, one page at a time, and checks it when you come back.
